I want to learn to fuse and stitch appliqué. I am linking up with http://www.pinkdoxies.com/ to try to reach my goal. I hope to fuse and stitch down appliquéd circles as balloons on the backing of my Balloon Blocks quilt for the June challenge.
It's something I put off for ages Paula, I was hand stitching mine with buttonhole stitch and it took forever. My tip would be to use an open toe foot for a good view and go slow. I'm rooting for you. Smiles Kate
Good luck Paula. I agree with Kate's advice above. In addition I'd recommend putting a sheet of greaseproof baking paper between the ironing board and the fabric and between the fabric and the iron, just in case the adhesive layer leaks round the edges. Getting the glue off the iron is not a nice job!
So glad you're joining Brave Quilter! I love applique, but circles. They require patience for sure. You've already gotten great tips above, so I'll just add my well wishes. You can do this!
Great to see you linking up, Paula! I always enjoy visiting here, and hope you enjoy working on your challenge this month with #BraveQuilter.
